Elements of Fiction Writing - Characters & Viewpoint - Scott Card, Orson I have not read other books that focused on this topic, so I was disappointed. I thought I'd take away more gems. I took away a few but can only recommend this book to writers who have already read the classics and who are interested in reading all the writing books they can get their hands on.

I originally rated this 3 stars. After browsing through it the other day, I've decided to add another star. I may start brainstorming new stories soon and I realized there was a lot of interesting ideas in here for that stage of the writing process, like the chapter "What Kind of Story are you Telling". If you're unsure about first person versus third person, Part III is very good too.
